I believe that all of Nature is art. What is a linden leaf in autumn if not Nature’s painting? Greens, blues, yellows, reds, oranges in symmetrical design! My love for nature has impacted my whole life.
My passion is to paint nature up close—I think of this as painting portraits. I am drawn to the delicacy, transparency and femininity of flowers as well as the abstract layering of color. Tropical and New England flowers, the sky, the moon, and the sea all inspire my work. Many of my floral paintings are from my trips to Hawaii.
