Call for Exhibit Proposals

For Period: April and May of 2019

Arts Wayland is accepting proposals from Massachusetts based artists to exhibit in our pop-up gallery and community arts space . We are offering 500- 800 square feet and / or 20 -60 linear feet of wall space, non- contiguous comprised of movable partitions. Please note, that there may be another exhibit in the space simultaneously; however each show will be clearly marked with signage or wall text provided by artists. All artwork must be family friendly. To have the gallery open more than its regular hours you would need to sit. Sales are paid directly to the artists. A donation to Arts Wayland (a 501 c3) of 20% of the sale price is requested.

Individual Spotlight Proposals

Individuals may request to “rent” a spotlight space consisting of 500 square feet of floor space and or 18 feet of linear space to hang 2D art, comprised of two flexible self-standing display walls and 6 linear feet of wall space. Hanging will be the artist’s responsibility. @theW will promote the reception through social media. Please send a short bio and 10 jpegs of the work you propose to show. Label wall art with your LastName_heightxwidth and for 3D work include installation views. Fees: $300 to rent the space as described herein for four weeks. You are responsible for insuring your work.

Group Proposals

Three or more artists may submit show proposals with a theme of their choosing. We request there be an educational component including a talk and or demonstration as part of your show in addition to a reception. Please write one to two paragraphs describing your idea. Include 5 jpegs of art for each artist. Label LastName_heightxwidth_1 for wall art. Label3D work LastName_HxWxD_1 include an installation view. Fees: $40 per proposal. If accepted there is no additional fee however you are responsible for doing your promotion and all costs related to installation, promotion and refreshments for the reception. You are responsible for insuring your work.
