Cindy loves to create all different types of 3D
objects and wall art out of wool. She creates these
pieces using either a wet felting or a needle felting
method (or sometimes both!) Wet felting consists of
layering wool, adding olive oil soap and water and
agitating it. In the needle felting process wool is
manipulated with special needles. The needles have
notches that catch the wool fibers and weave them
together to produce the desired shapes.
Recently Cindy’s work was displayed in
the Concord Bookshop window for an
artist walk and at the Mosesian Center
for the Arts. Other work can be found
in Concord Art’s 2019 calendar. Cindy
often creates felted characters and
creatures for her preschool friends at
the Barn Co-Operative Nursery School.
Cindy lives in Sudbury with her husband
Rich and their dog Monte. She is the
proud mom of two adult children, Tim
and Melissa, who visit often.
