Art has the power to connect individuals with their emotions, experiences and others. My work has given me opportunity to explore, change and transform my life many times over. Painting and using mixed mediums gives me the creative energy that continues to fuel my work.
Each painting that I create is my own language which is then interpreted by the viewer and translated to the language of their own experience. My love of travel, people and my spiritual connection provide me with endless inspiration and a need to create my art and have others share in the experience.
I grew up in rural New Jersey, the garden state, and currently reside in Franklin, Massachusetts. Growing up in a small agricultural community gave me an appreciation for color, space and the intimate connections that people make with each other in their own communities.
Art can inspire those connections. I attended Pennsylvania State University where I received my BA in Art Education for Special Populations and then went on to graduate school at Lesley University where I earned my MA in Art and Expressive Therapy. I have gone on to paint and exhibit work locally and nationally. I am also an art therapist. My studio is located in Marlboro, Massachusetts.
