Arts Wayland has started an exciting new venture. A pop-up art gallery in the Wayland Town Center. We invite members and artists from around the region to be part of this coop gallery location. Past Activities and Events
Arts Wayland has brought art and creativity into the community in many ways over the years. From the community wide Art Fair in 2015 to the Art in Rotation program, exhibits and programs at the Trinitarian Church, Wayland Library, Traditions of Wayland, Carriage House, the many volunteers and art lovers have used their time and creativity to enrich our community. Arts Wayland has participated in town-wide events including:
375th anniversary of Wayland where we designed the website, offered special art workshops, participated in the parade, documented with photos that were used extensively
Sponsored the film “Five Miles astride the River - the story of Wayland”
Art in Business program which rotated art through local businesses
Community Art Fair which welcomed hundreds of visitors and featured dance, music, art, business activities
TCC Art Show which ran for 3 years and exhibited over 100 works by local artists and was featured in the Metrowest Daily News

Arts Wayland thanks all the board members, treasurers and presidents that over the years established and maintain Arts Wayland and its role in the our community. The board of directors of Arts Wayland include members who support the arts and are professionals in the community. Including, a patent and copyright attorney, Wayland middle school art teacher, museum docent and art history lecturer, recent graduate of Framingham State college, pet sitter and watercolorist, full-time artist and art educator, and full-time artist and retired graphic designer.
All give of their time and talents to keep Arts Wayland a vibrant part of the Wayland and Metrowest community.

Arts Wayland has been a part of Wayland and the surrounding community since its founding in 1981 as a non-profit educational organization.
In December 2018, we began a new initiative - @theW Gallery - in the Wayland Shopping Center. This 3,200 sq ft space with large windows is an art gallery and community art space. We welcome artists and non-artists to be involved in this all-volunteer initiative. We have been allowed use of the space with the support of the owners, and with the assistance of the management company, National Development.
Future plans for the space include exhibitions of all art media; programs: art demos and workshops; music: bands, recitals, jams, vocal; poetry and literature readings; book groups; art talks; dramatic performances. Artists of all media should apply to be involved.
